This page contains links to my collected interactive work, from
the period roughly 1988 - 2013. In these works, interactivity is
used to introduce multiplicities into word space — in the
same
location — while still allowing for legibility. With the
exception of
Diagrams Series 5,
none of these works currently plays “live” in the browser; they
are made available here as multiplatform downloads, for a wide
variety of computer operating systems, including Windows,
Macintosh, Linux, and various BSDs. These works may be
considered hypertexts — in the broad sense of the word, as
investigated over many years by the hypertext research community
(spatial hypertext in particular); though they are certainly not
simply “nodes and links” — the primitive concept many people
think is all there is to hypertext.
Three of these works,
Intergrams,
Diffractions through:
Thirst weep ransack (frailty) veer tide elegy, and
The Barrier Frames:
Finality Crystal Shunt Curl Chant Quickening Giveaway Stare,
were originally published by Eastgate Systems, and are reissued
here.
